Our attorney, Julia Cutler, Esq., recently secured a not guilty verdict for her client, who was facing three counts of sexual abuse in the second degree. Specifically, her client was up against up to 25 years in prison, with a mandatory minimum sentence of 17.5 years.
Of note, the State dismissed two of the three counts with Julia’s motion for a directed verdict after the State rested its case. Then, after about 3.5 hours of deliberations and a 3.5 day trial, Julia successfully defended her client and received a not guilty verdict on retrial of the remaining count.
